When I woke up, the house was alive with activity. Cyrus and my mom went to the grocery store to get provisions while Clarke, my dad, and I packed up the house. My grandma recommended lots of places for us to go; her memory is amazing and she spent a lot of time cruising all over the US. We went to the boat around 11:20 am, a little later than planned. Oh well, but that's how we Garretts role! We said sad goodbyes to Marley and my grandma. Once they were gone, we started to get the boat ready. By 2:40 pm we were all set. Then we motored over to Deltaville Marina to get a pump-out and fuel. We left the dock around 3:15 pm. The day was cold, overcast, and foggy- not super ideal conditions for sailing, but it wasn't too bad. My dad and I worked on trip planning before eating dinner while underway. When we told Cyrus that we would see the Pattisons in Hampton, he got really excited! We ended up motoring all the way to Hampton with our sails down. Half of that was done while the sun was setting/in the dark!
