3 nautical miles

Dad, Clarke, and Cyrus went to get groceries while mom did laundry and I watched over the boat. After finishing we wandered around, went swimming, biked, etc. By noon we were leaving the yacht club and getting fuel before anchoring by Thunderball Grotto. Thunderball Grotto is a famous underwater cave. At high tide, you have to swim underwater to get to it while you can swim on the surface at low. A James Bond movie was filmed there.

After eating lunch we dinghied over to the cave. We were surprised to see that the Knights came to meet us and go swimming. Reese couldn't go in the water because she got a deep bite from a pig when they went to pig beach. It was low tide so we could swim on the surface. It also meant there were more people. The entrance was tight until you got inside. Then it opened up into a large cavern. The ceiling had holes that let in shafts of light. There were so many fish and coral. It was really fun! After swimming around for a little while we dove out through an underwater tunnel that surfaces near the dinghies.

Then we went back to Running Tide and pulled anchor for Big Major, where the Knights were anchored. With it being low tide we were barely able to make it out! There were a lot of boats anchored there but it was still peaceful.

The Knights came over once we anchored. We set up our rope swing and everyone had fun going off. Then Clarke, Mr. Ryan, and Riley went spearfishing on the paddleboards. Riley didn't want the fish to get speared so she jumped in the water and splashed as noisily as possible. Eventually, Mr. Ryan promised he wouldn't spear any fish and gave the spear to Clarke. Riley wasn't happy but Clarke was overjoyed!

We made plans to bring our dinner over to their boat and share meals. We hung out and played games until 10 pm. Then we went to bed.
