Powderhorn Mountain

I woke up and got breakfast. Best Western had lots of choices, but we still prefer Hampton Inn's breakfast. Once we ate and Dad got back from the grocery store, we packed the car and drove to Powderhorn. The drive was pretty and we saw some adorable, fuzzy lamas along the way!

When we got to Powderhorn, we got our passes and hit the slopes. We skied a groomer called Bill's Run for most of the morning and worked on carving (turning on the edges of the skis). During lunchtime, we ate in the car because the lodge was packed. Then we checked in early to the tiny home we rented.

The rental was in a "tiny home village" with about 5 other tiny homes, similar in size but varying in design. In the middle of all the homes, there was a fire pit and lots of chairs. Off to the side of the village, there was a sledding hill. The whole setup was adorable! Our house had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a main living area, and could sleep 7 people, despite its small size. I was amazed at how much fit into the seemingly tiny house because of the smart spatial design. The tiny home village was also about 10 yards away from the main chair, the closest we've ever been to the mountain!

We did some schoolwork before heading back out for about an hour. The high-speed quad servicing the main runs on the mountain was convenient for doing lots of runs! At 4 pm the lifts closed, so we went back to the house. Then we had dinner and went to bed.
