50 nautical miles

My family kindly let me sleep in till 10:30 am. When I finally came topside we were only 2 hours away from Portland.

There were big swells (5-6ft). I guess this is going to be the new normal while we sail in the ocean. The day was very cloudy and had forecasted rain for the afternoon. I wish it was sunny, but we've had AMAZING weather lately, so I really can't complain!

We pulled into Southport Marina around 12:30 pm after navigating through a nerve-wracking channel! It started to rain just after we docked. The boys went to the grocery store while my mom and I ate lunch and did the laundry. Then we met Clarke, Cyrus, and my dad to help them carry the groceries. They were gone a full 3 hours! I mean, how long can it take to get groceries!?

We made quick work of putting the food away. Because the boys' birthdays are coming up we let them pick what we had for dinner. They chose pizza and a movie, so we stayed on the boat and watched a movie on the computer. Today was our last day in Maine... I'm so sad!
