35 nautical miles

We pulled anchor pretty early this morning. The waves had calmed down so we could go through Whale Cay cut. It was a pleasant sail and we stopped in Manjack to go for our last snorkel of the trip. The water was pretty cold but we got used to it after a little while. We thought there was going to be a reef, but there was only shallow grasses. That didn't stop us from swimming though. We discovered these little plants that looked like jellyfish. Then we found out that they were jellyfish. I have a jellyfish-phobia, so I wasn't too happy to discover that I was swimming among a throng of jellies. We headed back to the boat after an hour of snorkeling. Then we pulled anchor and headed for Coopers Town, where we could check out from customs.

We anchored right by the channel entrance and dad dinghied in. It was really quick -- the customs guy was waiting on the dock for him so he just had to sign a paper and then he was good. After that we went to the marina at Spanish Wells to get fuel and water. We had a reservation for that night, but decided to anchor at Powell Cay along with Lark, whom we were transiting with. After dinner we returned the engine they so kindly lent us and went to shore with Sandy. We took a walk along the beach as the sun was setting and were back at the boats by dark. Then we went to bed.

I can't believe our 5 weeks in the Bahamas is already up:(
