Eagle Point

We got up early and did school until 9 am. Then we skied to the runs that opened today, because of the new snowfall. There were more people than usual waiting to ski on this side. The worker let us all go down at once, almost as if we were racing. It looked like a stampede!

The powder was AMAZING! Then snow had fallen gradually over the past month, never deep enough to ski on, so no one had skied on the base layers. The result: 2-3ft of completely unmarked powder! The boys and I had never skied on powder like this before, so it took a little while to get used to the new conditions. We got the hang eventually! On the run before lunch, we carried our skis and hiked past the top of the lift to a run that was less tracked up.

We went back to the condo for lunch and a little bit of school. Then we headed back out for the afternoon. The snow was compacted, but still soft and fun. We squeezed in a few more runs before the lift closed.

That night we watched Mrs. Doughtfire. I could watch this movie over and over!
