This morning we picked up a gas motor that someone was lending us. Their boat was Lark and Aunt Caroline and Uncle Ian had met them on their 2-day journey. They're really nice! Then we pulled anchor and went to Abaco Beach resort to get fuel and water. We also got gas and oil for the motor. Then we went around to the other side of Marsh Harbour to see the Albas. They're the family we met in Beaufort, SC and had dinner with. We anchored right next to them and they dinghied over. We talked and played games for a while before realizing we had very ample depth under our keel. We said goodbye and planned to meet up in the Chesapeake sometime.

We went over to Man-O-War and anchored next to Lark. They invited us over for a potluck in two days. Then we dinghied to shore. The moment we stepped foot on the island we saw how kind everyone was. First, we met Kirk, a lover of sailing and past owner of a J-boat. He was thinking of getting a J46. We talked for a little while before walking off the dock. Then we met Agnes. She had some family in Richmond and had been coming to the island every year since 1990. We talked with her for a while before going to the little grocery for a few items. After coming out we saw Agnes again and she offered for us to do laundry at her house as well as anything else we might need. Dad asked her if we could use a few spoons to eat our ice cream. So we followed her to her house. She gave us the history of the island and her life. She was married to a man from Latvia who was an avid sailor. She sailed all over with him. They were actually part of the New York Yacht Club and Cruising Club of America like Nealy and Daddy G. Agnes didn't know them, but from what it sounds like they went on a few of the same cruises.

Once we were done eating we made plans to do laundry the next day before heading back to the boat. We had dinner and went to bed.
