15 nautical miles

I woke up around 8 am and started my schoolwork. Around 11 am we pulled anchor and started for Hilton Head. We made amazing time despite the rainy weather and arrived 2 hours earlier than expected, around 2 pm.

Mr. and Mrs. Adair were waiting for us by the lock into Wexford. They are hosting us as their guests at the marina in Wexford and are good friends of my dad and his parents. I drove the boat through the lock and successfully made my first docking! After saying hello, Mr. and Mrs. Adair showed us the heated pools (yay!) and other facilities. They also made us a dinner reservation at the British Open Pub just outside the main gate. After hanging out for a little longer, they left a car for us to use and went back to their house.

We proceeded to jump in the pool! We played around until 4:30 pm before taking hot showers. After getting all clean, we hung around the boat until 6 pm and then drove to the British Open Pub. The dinner was amazing and we had some apple pie afterwards that rivaled my mom's! When we got back to the boat, we read for a little while before heading to bed.

The Adairs have been so nice to us, and I can't wait to spend more time with them the next couple of days!
