Cherry Peak Mountain

When we finished packing the car it looked like a stuffed sausage! Cherry Peak was closer to Logan than Beaver Mountain, which was nice because we were already driving 4 and a half hours to Eagle Point later that night.

When we got to Cherry Peak we had a quick snack of Ben and Jerry's Phish Food and Americone Dream ice cream before hitting the slopes. Only half the runs were open because of the thin snow cover. The open runs were fun to ski on as they had great terrain. Cyrus, being a lover of all jumps and trails through the woods, found every single trail and jump on the slopes!

After lunch, we tried out the tubing trail. We all loved it! The trail was dug into the snow and consisted of lots of twists and banked turns. There were even some little jumps at the end. One of the times, Cyrus lost all his speed midway and stood up in the middle of the course to get out of the way. But before he could clear off, my mom came from behind and knocked him onto her tube. He rode the rest of the way on her lap! After a couple more rounds, we hit the road.

About halfway through our drive, we stopped at Walmart to get groceries. It took an hour to get all the food. When we started to load the car I wondered if all the groceries would fit. Luckily they did, after some master packing by my dad! With the car completely loaded, we went to get dinner at Costa Vida. They have fresh, delicious Mexican food and amazing fresh-squeezed mango lemonade and limeade. They also make their tortillas from scratch and cook the tortillas right before they serve them. After eating we continued the drive to Eagle Point.

When we arrived at the condo we unloaded all the bags and went to bed.
