Eagle Point

When I woke up the boys were in a heated argument over checkers. I was already halfway done with my schoolwork by the time the quarrel settled! Of course, 5 minutes later, they got into another fight, this time over pencils. By the time the Great Pencil War was over, it was lunchtime. Once we finished eating we got our ski gear on and rode the shuttle up to the summit.

Eagle Point had gotten scare snowfall, so there was only one lift open and we couldn't ski in and ski out from our house. Despite there being only one lift, the lift lines were 5 minutes tops. We've been spoiled on this trip; there are less people skiing because of COVID so lift lines are basically non-existent! One of our favorite runs was the terrain park. On the first run we took, Dad skied across a board. However, while he was going across one ski fell off his foot. He then had to land the drop and catch the runaway ski all while on one ski!

On our last run of the day, we skied to the learning area so we could ride the snowcat. Normally there's a lift and run for the beginner hill, but the snow got too slushy and they had to move locations. They switched to skiing a different run and using the snowcat as a makeshift lift. Clarke, Cyrus, and I had never been in a snowcat before! Our driver was hilarious; he told us a story about a young girl who said she needed her "energy pills" and pulled out a pack of M&Ms. Then she started whacking everybody with her poles! We all climbed out of the snowcat laughing hysterically.

Once we had collected our skis and poles from the snowcat, we took the shuttle back home. The boys immediately reserved the hot tub. At 6 pm they went to the hot tub while I did schoolwork. After showering we watched Enola Holmes over dinner. It was a funny movie and we all loved it. Then we went to bed. I can't wait until all the runs open!
