Eagle Point

Today, we got through school without any fighting! My dad went skiing while we did our work. He said there were fewer people in the morning than in the afternoon. Maybe we'll have to ski in the morning and work in the afternoon!

After lunch, we met up with my dad on the slopes. The terrain park has a feature that has an almost vertical entry and exit with a big tube at the top. It's about 8ft high. You're supposed to lose speed going up, seesaw (table-top) at the top, and drop down the downhill face. But Cyrus came careening up to the jump, launched into the air without even touching the tube, and landed about 15ft away from the jump. We were all amazed!

On the next run we took a different trail. Then, as we were coming up the chairlift, we saw that the tube was gone from the top of the jump. At first, we thought they had blocked it off because they saw Cyrus go over it. When we asked a lift attendant they said that the tube had slipped and come rolling down the hill. I'm not sure which is funnier: them blocking it off because of Cyrus or the tube rolling down the hill! We did a few more runs before heading back home.

The boys reserved the hot tub again and convinced me to come too. They decided that we would get out of the hot tub, make snow angels for 20 seconds, and then hop back in the water. It was freezing, but I had fun! The hot tub looked over the closed runs to the west, so we got an amazing view of the sunset. The colors were so vibrant and the mountains looked beautiful while silhouetted against the sky. Once the boys got tired of making snow angels, we switched to making foam beards instead.

After an hour in the hot tub we went back to the condo and took showers. We watched Secret Life of Pets 2 before going to bed.
