Eagle Point

We did schoolwork until 9 am. Then we went to the mountain. On the shuttle ride up to the slopes, we learned that the Monarch lift (the one that broke down yesterday), blew a fuse and wasn't running. We did a few runs on the learning slope before it got crowded. Then took the shuttle back home. We did more schoolwork until 1 pm when we learned that the Monarch lift was running again.

Dad was planning on getting Mom new goggles at the shop in the Lodge. Her old ones were falling apart! But, unfortunately, he forgot his wallet and had to go back to the condo to pick it up. My brothers and I did a few runs while we were waiting. When Dad got back, Mom picked her favorite color, they purchased the goggles, and then they met up with the boys and me. Mom got mirrored Smith goggles that are a mix of orange, red, and yellow. They match her pants!

A new run called Quakies opened up because of the fresh snowfall. It quickly became our favorite run until more people discovered it and it got tracked up. Later in the afternoon, we found a tight powder trail running through the woods called Ace of Spades. We did this run over and over until the lifts closed. Then we took the shuttle home.

Clarke and Cyrus played outside with a 5-year-old boy named Thomas. They played until 6:40 pm. The boys loved that Dad watched them play through the window while he got a haircut!

We went to the hot tub for 20 minutes before having dinner and going to bed.
