65 nautical miles.

We departed from Gloucester early (at least for me!!), around 7 am. The morning was foggy and windless, but the sun soon burned up the clouds and a nice breeze filled in, enabling us to put up the spinnaker. Waves started building later in the afternoon, and soon we were riding 4ft swells. In a couple puffs we hit 10 knots under just sail power (to give you perspective we usually go 7 knots)! The dinghy had some trouble towing behind us with the growing sea state, but lengthening the bow line helped it trail nicely behind the boat. We arrived in Biddeford Pool around 4 pm and it took us another 30 mins to anchor. Later that night my dad and I decided to take a dinghy ride. Along the way, we found out that the motor was broken! We don't know what's broken yet, but with more troubleshooting, we should hopefully find out.
