Last night was really windy! I'm glad our anchor didn't drag. We finished our schoolwork quickly this morning so we set out to explore an adorable little island near our anchorage. The cool thing about this island is that, because of the huge tides, it's connected to the mainland at low tide! After exploring for a while we left Biddeford Pool. There was a nice breeze from our tail, so today was another spin sail! We saw an abundance of animals this sail including a whale, a seal, and a pod of small porpoises. While coming in the channel, we "wake boarded" on paddleboards behind the boat. At the slow speeds that the boat travels, it wasn't much of a challenge! Once anchored we explored a small island and paddled around. We also went swimming. The water was warm for Maine, but still frigid! We got to rinse off in warm water on the stern of the boat after swimming, a rare(ish) treat on the boat. Then we had dinner consisting of spaghetti with meat sauce before going to bed.
