Last night was nice and calm. We saw a seal while eating breakfast! Later that morning, a boat from a small, non-profit business called the Quahog Bay Conservancy emptied our waste tank for free! Their goal is to keep Snow Harbor as clean as they possibly can. The business first started when swimming was prohibited in Snow Harbor due to poor water quality. Since then, they have been growing an oyster colony and emptying septic tanks (so that waste doesn’t go into the water) among other things. They recommended we go to Little Snow Island if we wanted to go to land. We took their advice, and really enjoyed it! The island was really cute and even had some campsites. After exploring, we went swimming and snorkeling around the island. The water was crystal clear and you could see the bottom easily. We pulled anchor around 1:15 pm and headed for a rental house in Bremen, where we're having a family gathering. There was cloud cover and absolutely no wind, but it was a nice temperature. We saw yet another seal, a pod of porpoise, and something totally new- an ocean sunfish! We think it weighed around 1,000 lbs! By 7:30 pm we were anchored in front of the house. The house has a beautiful view of the water. I think I'm going to have lots of fun this week!
