I woke up and did school work. Around 10 am dad and Douglas went to shore to get a rental car. We followed a little bit later. When they came back they didn't have a rental car! Apparently, everyone was in church -- they could hear the singing carrying out of the building.

We decided to eat lunch at the resort restaurant. It was an adorable little place. We talked with one of the owners while we were waiting. She is so nice! She gave us fresh veggies from her garden and told us all the places we should go -- she's very talkative and has a fun personality. The food was amazing and we all left very happy. Then we got the rental car.

It was a small SUV. So, to fit all 10 of us in, Arthur, Clarke, Cyrus, and I sat in the trunk while the dads went up front and the moms in the middle row (dad drove). It felt so weird to be in a car again! First, we went to Cara Hill, the "Mt. Everest of the Bahamas" -- a whole 206 ft above sea level! At the top, you get an amazing view of the whole island. There was also a hermitage. It was adorable -- everything was so small! After exploring for a bit we headed back to the car. This time Alice hopped in the back with us.

We drove to Arthur's Town on the northern part of the island. The drive was pretty and we stopped at a little resort along the way. It was cute and laid back. Then we turned around and started back south. We stopped again at a surprisingly full convenience store. We bought some precious ice cream as well as a few other items. While the parents were shopping we smashed coconuts to get the water and jelly. Then a man offered to cut it open for us. He pulled a huge knife out of his car and opened the coconut so we could drink the water. Then he cut it in half so we could eat the jelly. That was really nice! When the parents came out we flocked to the ice cream.

After eating out sweet treats we went to find the Healing Pond. It has a salinity level like the Dead Sea so you can't sink. We had a hard time finding it so we went to ask for directions at another local resort. I climbed a tree to a boat they had secured high in the branches. It was cool and I got a good view. By the time we had gotten the directions, it was a little late to go swimming so we went back to the boats. Dad returned the rental car.

We harvested our microgreens that we were growing and had them in a salad. They were really good!
