I woke up to Clarke yelling with excitement that he saw 2 sharks while hunting some bait fish. He was so excited that he practically told the whole story in one breath!

After breakfast, we started making our way to Cold Spring Harbor to meet Mr. and Mrs. Kolodner. They're the parents of one of my dad's best friends, Mike, from the Naval Academy Sailing Team. On our way, my dad thought it would be fun to go through the Thimble Islands channel. It was, but I was scared to navigate through because the channel is tight and you have little room for error.

Once out of the channel we put the sail up and set course for Cold Spring Harbor. It was a nice sail with a following current. We arrived around 4:30 pm and filled with water at the club dock before heading to the mooring. By the time we were moored, it was 5:20 pm. We were supposed to meet the Kolodners for dinner at 5:30 pm! We rushed to get ready and met them at the dock a little later than planned. Then Mr. Kolodner drove us to his house.

Mr. and Mrs. Kolodner are so nice and, as cruisers themselves, thought of everything that we might need. Showers, provisioning, laundry, ride... all of it! Clarke, Cyrus, and I went on their rope swing before jumping into the pool. The shower afterward felt amazing too! Then we had dinner. They served us chicken, steak, and sausage with arugula salad and corn. Then we had a delicious, flourless torte with fresh raspberries and black raspberry chocolate chip ice cream for dessert. It was really good! I was already full from dinner, but everyone knows that we have two stomachs; a meal stomach, and a dessert stomach!

Around 10 pm we headed back to the boat so Cyrus could go to bed. They offered to help us with provisioning and laundry for the next day. So nice! I had a lot of fun today and can't wait to see NYC tomorrow!
