Powder Mountain

We hit the slopes at 9 am. Powder Mountain has tons of terrain, so we got to ski on a much of different trails. Our favorite run started with riding the Hidden Lake lift, then went to riding the Poma lift to get us some more elevation (plus it was just fun!), and ended with skiing through the woods back to the bottom of the Hidden Lake lift.

A poma lift is an old-fashioned lift that tows you up the mountain on the ground. You grab the pole, put the poma between your legs, and ski up the hill. It's really fun! Cyrus had a rough time with the poma! On the first run, he missed the first 5 pomas, fell down on the sixth, and finally caught the seventh poma, riding it all the way to the top. On the second run, he grabbed a poma with a tight spring. Whenever the wire went over a pole, he got lifted at least 3 ft in the air! My dad got a hilarious video. When we saw it we couldn't stop laughing! After that Cyrus had an easier time with the poma.

We stopped for lunch at noon. For the rest of the afternoon, we skied our favorite loop on the Hidden Lake lift. At 4 pm some of the lifts closed so we returned to the apartment. Mom and Dad rented a pair of demo skis for Mom to try out tomorrow.

We watched WandaVision over dinner. We didn't like it very much. I had lots of fun skiing at Powder today!
