20 nautical miles

We did school all morning. Around lunchtime, Cyrus went to Alisara. We pulled anchor and set out for Conception Island. The trip was awesome -- we averaged 8 knots with no engine! When we got to Conception we all marveled at how beautiful it was. The water was incredible. I could see the bottom at 35ft! When it got shallower you could see the bottom like the water wasn't even there. And the colors were just amazing.

We went to shore over the course of the afternoon. I was the last one to shore, along with dad. When we were going to get in the dinghy dad cut his foot -- in what's probably the most awkward spot possible -- and was a surprisingly deep cut. We cleaned it up and went to shore. We walked down the beach until we met up with Douglas, Hermione, Alice, Mom, and Jess. A little farther down we found a trail to the other side of the island. This was really pretty too. The water was more of a green color and there were reefs scattered everywhere. There was a pretty, white cliff -- which we walked to -- that had a rope so you could climb up to the top. The view was amazing! We decided to come back here tomorrow while headed back to the boat.

We played with some kids from another boat until sunset. Then we went back to the boats. The Pattisons came over for dinner. We had a really good sponge cake that Hermione made for dessert. After dinner, we played cards before going to bed.
